Crouse College, Syracuse University NYC we've brought this over-century-old imageCrouse Memorial College, often known as simply Crouse College, was constructed in 1889. At this time, it was the third building on the Syracuse University campus and was the tallest structure in the city. Crouse was home to the United States' first College of Fine Arts, and today it is known for its College of Visual and Performing Arts. This vintage photograph of the historic building was captured in 1904, when the building was just 15 years old.
